1999 Rocky Mountain High

After a couple of summers in Arizona I couldn't deal with the heat and the pollution in Phoenix any more. In July 1999, I made a three week camping, shooting and recon mission to Colorado. Since my first drives through Colorado in 1994 I knew that I wanted to live here at some point. I decided to take a closer look...

My car packed up with everything I needed, including my bike, I was ready to go. The road was open and possibilities endless... just the way I like it ;-)
I can always appreciate a good stream...		Okay, so I'm not the backpacker, but to be able to drive the car up to 12,000 ' is quite incredible.. The roads were pretty rocky, but the car managed.
I also shot the 1999 Colorado State Championships, met a lot of new friends and made my decision to move to Boulder, Colorado. It used to be the Mile-Hi Showdown, a great match in one of the pretties states in the country.		Camping by myself, finding what I wanted in the Rockies. A week after I returned to Phoenix, I packed up all my stuff, borrowed Brian's truck and moved within a week. Colorado has been my home since.
