My 20 Year Motorcycle Anniversary Bike Ride

Exactly 20 years ago I got my drivers license for motorcycle, somewhere back in the old country.. It's a little more strict than the US, it took me 16 hour long lessons and a 2 hour test before I was "okay" to ride. As a comparison I took a 25 question test and a 20 min test here in Boulder to get my US license a few years back. I have no words...

In honor of 20 years, Harvey and I took the Peak-to-Peak Highway from Nederland to Estes Park in Colorado, up through Rocky Mountain National Park, through Grand Lake, Winter Park, over Berthoud Pass and through Blackhawk back to Nederland. A full day of riding through incredible nature..

Rocky Mountain National Park. We came up the windy road down there.. Watch the video of the overlook.

Once you buy a Honda you are a happy rider.
In front; Harvey's VFR750
and my CBR929RR in the background.

Another look at the National Park..
Video of another look out point.

Just to prove I was there..

Lunch in old town Grand Lake.

Harvey stopping to pay the toll to get into
Rocky Mountain National Park.

Stop to smell the roses...
Now are you starting to understand why I
live in Colorado...?

I of course had to take some videos:

Go for a ride with me...
Henning's Onboard "Hand-Cam", ehem..
Harvey cutting through the corners.

It all looks good, but going through Colorado
- any day - is can be like going through four season.
As we got up through Berthoud pass we got soaked
and the temperature dropped to 50 degrees.

Accidentally caught on tape..
here's what happened...
