2006 American Handgunner Shoot Off

At first I was just going to shoot the Winchester Challenge and I was not at all ready to spend six days at a match. You know what, I got sucked in on the steel-fun and wished it wouldn't end. Last time I shot this match was 1994 during my first "Discover-Colorado Tour." Montrose rages almost 7,000 feet above sea level and what a pretty place. You might get sunburnt and dehydrated, but we need more matches like this..

American Handgunner is a big crowd pleaser. 200 shooters with families spent at least four days in Montrose.

The Sunday Shoot Off is the final showdown and
everybody gathers to see who can pull it off.

Team Armscor wins again

During the 3-day qualification for
the Sunday Shoot Off,
we entertained ourselves with side matches.

Team Armscor wins the 4x4 Stake Shoot
Team Armscor wins the 22 Stake Shoot
Team Armscor wins the 22 Dynamite Shoot

It's the first time Glenn and I shoot together, but
neither of us have ever lost a stake shoot!

Questionable breakfast of Champions..

Glenn freaked out on this
Bigger-than-his-Head ™ Cinnamon Roll.

I wore my sniper hat for the stake shoot.
Angus helped decorating it for effect.

It had a really nice pine scent...
