Mystery Ranch building custom packs for Tactical Rifle
Talk about luck! After talking about making a true tactical pack for the match and hashing it over, Bret and I walked into Mystery Ranch in Bozeman, Montana to see if they had a frame we could use for the purpose. We were in for a treat, Mystery Ranch is no other than Dana Gleason. Heard of "Dana Design"? We were overwhelmed to see one of the World's most experienced packmakers getting fired up about the idea.
Before we knew it, the three of us were on the floor drawing up the next generation of Long Range Rifle / Sniper / Hunter Packs. Don't be surprised to see a commercially available product before soon.

You can walk into Mystery Ranch and choose from a wide range of packs. Retail fitting is available and the production staff is working in the back. Where else can you get this kind of product and service?

Dana Gleason, Bret Heidkamp and myself
after biz-hours hashing out ideas and taking
tactical sniping to the next level..
Bret of IST Designs, also located in Bozeman,
makes the famous Montana Sling.
A high quality rifle sling for hunters.

Dana with my Armalite rifle, magazines,
range finder, notepad and Fat Roll. Everything
will go into the pack and be laid out where the
shooter needs it. It will also hold a water reservoir.
Jealous? We think the military soon will be..

Bret with his GA Precision .260 Ackley on an
Accuracy Unlimited stock. Packs for AR and the bolt
rifle will be almost identical, mainly longer to
accomodate the 25" barrel.

Bret is one happy camper and can only see
possibilities with this pack. It is not only a pack,
but also a shooting platform with all the
gear we need at our fingertips.
