Ski Colorado : Vail Breckenridge Keystone Crested Butte A-Basin

For all of us living in the Greater Denver area, Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin) is the first ski resort to open and the last to close. My first day of skiing in the 2006 - 2007 season was October 20th. Only one of the lifts are open, but lots and lots of skiers can enjoy themselves. When the resort is in full operation, A-Basin offers some steep runs. It's also become the "locals" favorite and you'll see a lot of Telemarkers. For more info, visit their official website.

Snow was pretty good even on October 20th. We should have brought out our favorite Extrem Sweet-O's, instead of our rock-skis. No need, snow was soft.
To be able to ski in October is pretty rare, the lines aren't too bad during the week,but in the weekend it's ridiculous.		Colorado, always beautiful. It's less than 1.5 hour drive from Denver / Boulder to paradise.
